Leadership

Two people you can actually write to.

A founder who is still on site at twenty-seven years is a different proposition from one who is not, and it is checkable.

Piyush Ganediwala, founder and managing director of Concept Equipments.

Founder & Managing Director

Piyush Ganediwala

Started trading in 1999 with no backing, no staff and no inherited client list, selling alarm systems door to door across Mumbai. Every system the firm now holds (cameras, access control, fire, building management, command and integration) was added because a customer asked for something he did not yet do, and he chose to learn it properly rather than hand the work to somebody else. The proprietorship was registered as Concept Equipments in 2001.

He has spent twenty-seven years in buildings that could not be shut down while they were being fixed: fire panels in working hospitals, access control across live trading floors, command rooms commissioned between shifts. The firm’s position that the party who designs a system should answer for it in year seven is his, and it cost work in the years he first held it.

He still attends the assessments that matter. Not ceremony, it is where the failures that shape the next specification are actually found.

Talk to him about: System design, fire and life-safety strategy, and anything where the technical answer decides the commercial one.

Director

Naman Ganediwala

Runs the parts of the business that are not the installation. Commercial structure, client relationships, and the systems that let a firm this old work to a written standard instead of to somebody’s memory.

Most of that is invisible from outside. How a maintenance contract is scoped. How fourteen sites end up with one specification instead of fourteen. What a client actually holds in their hands on the day a project closes. It is the part that decides whether the visible work still stands up in year seven.

He is the fastest way to an answer. New projects, vendor forms, partnerships, and anything that cannot wait for a site visit to be arranged.

Talk to him about: New projects, vendor onboarding, multi-site programmes and partnerships.

Continuity

A system we maintain should not depend on one engineer remembering it.

Most security firms carry their knowledge in people. Configurations live in one technician’s head, supplier relationships in one manager’s phone, and the client discovers this the week that person leaves. We have been called into buildings where exactly that happened, and it is the most avoidable failure in this industry.

Every site is documented
Configuration, as-built drawings, cause-and-effect matrix and test records held as documents rather than as memory.
More than one engineer per system
No site we maintain is known to only one person. Configuration and site knowledge are shared before they are needed, not after.
Records belong to the client
What we hold, you hold. If you leave us, you leave with the documentation, not with a gap where it should have been.
Two named directors, not one
Whichever of us you write to, you will get an answer. And the firm is deliberately built so that neither of us is a single point of failure, including the founder.

Write to either of us.

Not to a contact form and not to a shared inbox. Both addresses are on this page and both are read by the person named beside them.
